I was a medical transcriptionist and then medical assistant and attended BYU before I decided I wanted to understand the body and nutrition on a deeper level. I began my 3 year Master Herbology program and Herbal Nutrition degree in 2022 when I became chronically ill, which led me to find the IHF program. My condition underwent a significant turnaround, enabling me to contribute my expertise to the current program, enhancing its effectiveness and reach.

After healing I delved deeper into those related studies and microbiology, so that I could better understand how this amazing program works. Of all my courses and studies no education is as powerful as living with this condition and HEALING it.

What is the biggest hurdle that you’ve overcome?

Dysautonomia hands down. To be told by every specialist that I WILL NOT HEAL and then to be threatened that I would get worse if I didn’t follow their guidance and take their pills, was a tremendously scary experience. But as I prayed and acted in faith, I had this deep hope that I could/would heal. No doubt, even though I suffered for months and months with no answers.

Staying the path and keeping the faith was the hardest part, especially when so many around me said I was crazy or a fanatic for not listening to doctors. My family even called me and said to get checked into a hospital and stop the nonsense. But I couldn’t give up what I felt so deeply to be true… “I would heal”. Even when I looked out on a world that seemed to be devoid of hope, I knew deep down “I would heal”.

What or who is your biggest motivation?

God. In the book “Screwtape letters” there an amazing quote:

“Our cause is never more in danger than when a human, no longer desiring, but still intending to do our Enemy’s will, looks round upon a universe from which every trace of Him seems to have vanished, and asks why he has been forsaken, and still obeys.”

For me, the greatest power and truth has come when I’ve felt the most lost, hopeless and forsaken yet still prayed in faith.”

That’s when the most powerful motivation and hope fueled me to keep going.
