12 years ago, I healed myself (by the grace of God) from Multiple Sclerosis by radically changing my diet from eating vegetarian for 22 years to eating mostly animal based. I had been diagnosed as well with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. The only way I was able to this for myself at that time was because of my education. If I could rearrange time and make IHF exist 12 years ago, I would do it! My healing journey would have been much less lonely and I likely could have made bigger strides faster. My educational background covers a large range across the Eastern and Western medical fields. I began my journey into medicine as a veterinary surgical technician at age 14, in 1991.
I was Pre-Vet in college while also attending Nursing School. I studied Reflexology, Medical and Sports massage for several years as well, performing massage therapy at various chiropractic clinics. About 2 years into my pre-vet undergraduate studies, I learned of acupuncture and herbal medicine. I immediately left Veterinary medicine school for Chinese Medicine University and became a Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a board certified acupuncturist, and a Master Herbalist in 2008. During my career in Chinese Medicine I gained a second board certification in Reproductive and Fertility Medicine, specializing in alternative and care for women undergoing IVF, IUI, and ICSI, and became a Certified Nutritionist. I additionally trained as a Pilates Instructor and “hobby-studied” Neuro Kinetic Therapy, Levels 1&2.
